Free Gas Savings Tips For Summer 2010

The Following free gas savings tips are ones that you have heard and ignored for far too long. So pay attention it is the last time I am going to repeat them.

1. Back Off Jack
Slow it down and stop using your brake as a foot petal on your bass drum.driving like a maniac will reduce your mileage by up to a third. Instead, change speed at sensible rates. You'll save money if you do. And keep the driver in front of you from giving you the 1 finger salute.

2. Pump it Up
Properly inflated tires are not just more efficient -- they'll last longer, too. Improperly inflated tires will decrease your gas mileage by almost 4%.

3."I Cant Drive 55"
You can and you should! Almost all cars efficiency decreases at anything over 60 mph.

4. Dont Wait for That Noise to Stop..It Wont
Take care of the little things and the big things will take care of themselves. Change oil regularly, maintain proper fluid levels, keep the engine clean, get the emissions tested, and stay up-to-date on tuneups.

5. Leave the Olive Oil in the Kitchen
Using the manufacturer-recommended grade of motor oil helps improve efficiency (use 10W-30 or 5W-30 as directed). It's a small gain, but if you use motor oil with an "Energy Conserving" label Al Gore will be very happy.

Ok , Ok now that you know what to do after you own the car what about buying a new one? The following free gas savings tips are for those that have saved so much money with the first gas savings tips that they have enough disposable income to go out and buy a brand new vehicle.

6. Size Matters
Smaller engines need less fuel than larger engines (for example, a 4-cylinder will require less than a V-6 or V-8), If you really feel the need for speed turbochargers can help make up the difference in power.

7. Vin Diesel It
Lingering around 3% of total sales in the U.S. diesel cars and trucks are not the rage. YET! Vin Diesel made $92 million dollars for his last movie and according to J.D. Power and Associates they predict that's exactly the number (92 million)of diesel-powered vehicles that the world will demand by 2017. (Maybe Vin Diesel will win an Oscar in 2017 too)

8. No Life Guard on Duty
Carpools can save hundreds of dollars in commuting gas a year. If your boss lets you, commute to work during off-hours to avoid sitting (and burning fuel) in traffic. Dropping the kids off at the public pool and combine errands ( the butcher, the bakery, the candlestick makery) into one trip saves time and money.

9. No Junk in the Trunk
Each extra pound of weight in your car requires more power to propel. Empty your trunk and back seat of everything you don't absolutely need , take down the bike rack, and remove the horse trailer when you don't need it.

10. I'm on Cruise Control
Not only will you look cool with your barefoot hanging out the drivers side window but cruise control prevents unnecessary surging on the highway, its also one of those features rarely used. Kind of like Picture in Picture (PIP)on your 80 inch Plasma TV.

I had fun putting these free gas savings tip together for your benefit, but I have one last one for you. If all else fails in your gas savings efforts...

10. Move
If you want cheap gas, it helps to live in towns like San Francisco and Boise, Idaho, Honolulu .Some cities have much more expensive gas than others such as Atlanta, Denver and Houston.

Before You Send Another Email,Consider This.Submitted by Jim Roche NJ

AS a small business owner, you're always looking for ways to close more sales and grow your business. And by now you've either adopted email marketing, or you will shortly. After all, email marketing is easy, fast, inexpensive, and, in most cases, yields the highest ROI. Which is great for you the small business owner.

However before you send another email, consider this: the majority of entrepreneurs have no idea how to use email marketing effectively. And they're losing out on thousands, even millions of dollars because of it.

You see, the truth is most small business owners will spend their time worrying about things like:

What subject lines get the best open rates?

Are there SPAM words I should avoid?

How long should my email be?

When is the best time of day to send my email? And so on

A complete list could fill the entire page. But when it comes right down to it, there is a bigger picture here that most business owners are missing. While they're busy debating subject lines, deciding how to sign their emails, and rejoicing over 1 or 2% increased response rates, other, more important issues are neglected. And that's when having never learned effective email marketing strategies, small business owners are either oblivious to the mistakes they're making, or they fight the symptoms of the problem and not the problem itself.

They believe: if open rates drop they've got to find a more responsive list or hire a copywriter to write more compelling subject lines. If no one jumps at the promotion it's because they delivered their message on the wrong day of the week. If their email messages aren't being delivered to the inbox it's time to find a new email marketing service.

Look, successful email marketing is NOT determined solely by subject lines. It cannot be achieved by just avoiding SPAM words. A defined email length will not make or break your bottom line. And long-term success has never been determined by a certain day of the week.

The majority of entrepreneurs have no idea how to use email marketing effectively.

A promotional email is sent to an existing customer-who already made the purchase at full price

A man receives an email inviting him to a Woman's Stress Management Course

A prospect signs up to be on a mailing list then doesn't hear anything from the company for 3 or 4 months

An email marketer gets more SPAM complaints than click-throughs

If you want to see real results from your email marketing efforts, then stop reading articles about the, "7 Words You Should NEVER Use in an Email." Focus on the concepts that will make a difference.

The key to creating successful, effective email marketing campaigns is tied up in 3 critical (but little known) techniques:

Tomorrow I will detail the 3 techniques you must master in order to be a successful Email marketer.

4 Must Have Online Marketing Tools | Angie Mitchell Submitted by Angie Mitchell

I'm going to share with you in this article the 4 simple must have online marketing tools anybody working online today should be using if wanting to succeed.

The number of people whose efforts are touched by the internet these days is hard to imagine. Many of us have been working full-time online for some time, but for the vast majority of people online today that is not the case.

Sorry, but it is obvious to experienced Internet Marketers that many people are not using some tools that would make their lives so much more effective and efficient. Here's a list of some tools I'd suggest are essential. These online marketing tools will deliver huge value to your workday and take no time at all to get set up. Some will be obvious to full time web workers, but some suggestions may not be to the constant flow of newcomers.

They include:
Capture Page Marker
Ad and Link Trackers
Autoresponder
Contact Manager.

Capture Page Creator, this tool is seriously going to enhance your capture and splash pages. If you don't have a capture page, you need to make one and start building your list! I'm sure you've heard others speak of "the money is in the list".

Another must have tool is Ad and Link Trackers so you to know where your traffic is coming from and so you know what's working and what's not. This is a very simple tool to use.

You must, must, must have an Autoresponder that is reliable and easy to use, people signed up to you capture page because they were interested in what you had to offer so you need to keep in touch with these clients and send them more information now and down the road.

A Contact Manager is also a handy tool because if you don't keep in touch with your clients, you will never reach the top. Having this specific online marketing tool solves that issue since it is automatically tied into your Capture Page and Autoresponder. Your job is simply a matter of managing prospects and clients.

Here is how it works, you create a tracking link, you make a Capture Page, you track your Capture Page, when people sign up to you Capture Page they will automatically start receiving your Autoresponder messages containing information on the product, program or service you are offering, they are then placed into your Contact Manager. With these simple online marketing tools you are now building your list my friend!

Those are some of the tools I've find most important to use, and that I wish more people I interact with would use. The difference between working with powerful online marketing tools and working without them is huge. What would you add to or subtract from this list?

Cowboy Boots Inspire Your Kids Creativity Submitted by Jim Roche NJ

When it comes to boys, any parent knows that the secret for a fun time includes selecting just the right scenarios. As the parent of two boys, I can vouch for the fact that boys tend to be innately energetic, inquisitive, and imaginative. Any setting that can inspire one or more of these qualities in your little one is a good choice.

In our home the boys have a tendency to become interested in a particular theme for a while, and imaginative play is the natural result. Currently, they are passionate about cowboys.

They adore their cowboy boots that they pull on first thing in the morning, they enjoy riding their wheeled horses around as well as the various other push-toys and battery-operated figures are also favorites. Our youngest child is happy to practice his Colors while assembling his Woody from Toy Story Puzzle across the living room floor.

Seeing that cowboy scene was here to stay for a while, we invested in kids cowboy boots and hats, and other "extras" for Christmas. Two months later, the children are still as enamored as they were on Christmas morning. The boys, create story lines and play scenes from their favorite cartoon characters stories. But even the youngest one, loves to push his toy horse along the house, yelling "Woo woo!"

Cowboy Boots and hats have opened the door to their imaginations, and jockeying for favored horses and clothing has cultivated negotiating and sharing skills. In our home, we recommend cowboy gear as some of the best toys for boys.

Of course, cars and trucks also go well with boys. For hours of creative play, select accompanying items such as a garage, a race track, or a roll-up area rug with roads printed on it.

The average boy will enjoy just about any kind of vehicle, whether something as simple as a little hand-held push car, or something more elaborate such as a remote-control or ride-on car. Other great choices include fire engines, airplanes, boats, buses, and just about anything else with wheels.

More absolute "must-have" toys for boys include balls of any and every variety, all types of blocks, and action figures. While children have differing interests and temperaments, these choices are proven favorites. But whatever your child's interests, there are sure to be many great toy choices to encourage and excite him to play hard and reach his full potential.

So Your Kid Wants to be a Cowboy? Find the Right Kids Cowboy Boots Here Submitted by Jim Roche NJ

What, you are baffled because your kid saw some cowboys on T.V. riding their horses and throwing their lassos and turned round to you and said, "Mommy, I want those kinds of cowboy boots!" Well, the question you should be asking yourself is not how your kid ever grew so quickly be interested in those awesome styles that mainly young adults go for, but how you get to satisfy your child's innocent wish.

The reason why more and more kids nowadays are interested in such cowboy boot styles is definitely not a mystery. Everyone knows that kids love action figures and cartoon pictures. They often see some of their own toys dressed in cowboy boots and other apparel, like Andy in the movies of Toy Story 1 and Toy Story 2. Yosemite Sam is a popular cartoon figure that all kids enjoy because of his cool ways of walking in his stylish cowboy boots.

There really is nothing wrong with giving your kids the opportunity to fulfill their wishes and wear something out of ordinary. You can let them wear those little cowboy boots and make them click their heels on the floor as they walk. ( Which can sometime be very annoying) But before you buy them those cowboy boots, there are a few things that you should be on the lookout for.

1) The first thing to look at in kids cowboy boots is how durable they might be. How do you know that the cowboy boots that you buy will be durable? A good indication is whether they have reinforced soles on them or not. If they do, it means that they will last for a long time, and this is extremely important because that would guarantee that your kid's feet will be well protected all the time!

2) You should also remember that your kid is still in the growing phase, and therefore his feet will soon outgrow the cowboy boots he wears now. While making the choice about your kids cowboy boots, your kid will be better served if you went for cowboy boots that are half a size larger so that your kid can wear them for a couple years.

3)o If you live in an area that receives a lot of rain, it is better not to let the rain ever dampen your your kids spirit let alone his cowboy boots. Cowboy boots made of suede leather are good to look at, but this material does not hold up in water. You might want to go for some made for vinyl, rubber or other waterproof materials.

4) Cowboy Boots will protect your kid's feet from the elements that otherwise might seep in through sandals or thin soled slippers.

5) Cowboy Boots can also help prevent injury when your kids step into thick bushes or puddles.

Not only are the kids cowboy boots fun to wear, but they are also perfect for allowing your child to imagine that he really is a cowboy riding the Western range alone with his horse towards the sunset. He can even dress up like a real cowboy with those cool cowboy boots and attend a costume party!
